Xbox One SHOCK: Sony's PS4 could play Microsoft games like Halo and Forza in the future
This means that games like Gears of War, Halo and more could soon be seen on PlayStation platforms.
This unprecedented move was hinted at by Xbox boss Phil Spencer, who revealed in an interview with the Wall Street Journal that he’s been given the freedom to reach gamers on any device, on any platform.
The shock move comes as Microsoft seeks to extend the reach of its products and services - including subscription models.
Microsoft already shares a game with Sony: Minecraft. However, the problem is that Sony really doesn't like the idea of Microsoft allowing players to sign into their Xbox accounts on PlayStation devices.
This is the same reason we're not seeing much cross-play happen between Xbox One and PS4.
But it could mean that more players get to experience titles like Forza, ReCore and more - and that's a good thing for the consumer.

Ever since it launched, Microsoft's flagship console has lagged behind the locally-manufactured PS4. This year there have been weeks where the console has sold less than 100 units.
It also claims less than 1% of the market share of home consoles according to various charts and sales trackers around the world, with less than 76,000 total sales in the region.
In an effort to boost sales, one canny retailer in Japan has taken a more alternative angle to selling the slim version of Microsoft's console, the Xbox One S.
The Bic Camera in Yurakucho - reported as one of the biggest electronics stores in Tokyo - has been spotted selling the Xbox One S primarily as an Ultra HD Blu-ray player.
This directly undermines Microsoft's past assurances to Western audiences that the Xbox One console is designed for gamers, and is marketed as a console first and foremost.

Xbox One X: The Verdict
The Xbox One X is vital if you want the best gaming experience you can on a console.Even compared to last year's PS4 Pro, the console exceeds every expectation. The 4K image quality is largely better than its Sony competitor - especially in first party games like Forza 7.
This is likely due to the games being made to run in true 4K, rather than being 'checkerboarded' to run at the higher resolution.
It's simply amazing how the console manages to even make older games with no specific support for the Xbox One X look better.
Microsoft's claim that the console is worth it on old, 1080p TVs is also true - however, the difference in loading times and slight performance increases perhaps isn't worth the money to grab yourself the console.
If you want to future-proof your living room for the next 5 years and are keen on making the most out of a proper 4K setup, however, this is an essential purchase.
