Check out some new renders showing six of Alcatel's 2018 phones

Tipster extraordinaire Evan Blass has disseminated several tweets today showing renders for six upcoming Alcatel handsets. The sextet are expected to be released sometime in 2018. The Alcatel 1X is a low-to-mid-range model. The  Alcatel 3 features a rear-facing fingerprint scanner as does the Alcatel 3C, The latter includes a curved back, and a speaker adorns the rear of the phone.

The Alcatel 3V and Alcatel 3X both feature a dual camera-setup on back, with a fingerprint scanner underneath. The latter appears to have very minimal side bezels. And that leaves the Alcatel 5. This model appears to sport an 18:9 aspect ratio and carries a very small lower bezel. With a metal build, this could be Alcatel's flagship in 2018.

Alcatel will apparently no longer use the IDOL name for its handsets in 2018. This year, Alcatel signed a pact to license its designs and software to China's TCL.
